As a keen singer/song writer, JC I.T. Consulting's founder, Julian, has performed in a number of bands, most notably Ivory Blade, a progressive rock band formed in New Jersey in 1988. At its peek, the group headlined five other bands for the Glasborough Tri-state reunion in 1990, and performed to a crowd of approx 5,000. The set was supposed to be two hours long, but the band's popularity kept them performing on stage for more than five hours! When the band ran out of material, the crowd ran out of food and drink and the authorities threatened to cut the power, it was time to go.

To augment his knowledge of setting up, recording and performing music, Julian attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia, where he studied for a degree in Music and Video Business Management. This gave him the opportunity to be professionally trained in all areas of the industry, from copyright law to scripting, journalism to song writing and all areas of the technology required, from high-end video, to acoustic science and lighting. Utilizing this knowledge, the band hired a recording studio and put together a professional demo, but just as a recording deal looked possible and they were getting local airplay on a number of New Jersey radio stations, disaster struck. Another band poached the drummer, the bass guitarist suffered ill health, and the rest, as they say, was history.

Turning his attention to the other side of the microphone, while Julian continued to write and perform in small venues as a solo artist, he set up a video rental and retail business, Video 2000, and subsidized this by working free-lance designing and building small recording studios and performance areas for local musicians. This experience, combined with Julian’s years in the I.T. industry, allows him to design and build advanced recording and performance studios based on professional equipment and an understanding of what the performer needs, but still working within a typical musician’s budget (sorry, payment in alcohol, take-away food and I.O.U.’s when you get signed are no longer acceptable).

As an example, a high-end special build PC for basing a midi recording studio on, suitable for creating broadcast quality music and audio, can be built with the latest components and software for approx £1,000.00 including setup and provisional training.

A building conversion, i.e. an unused garage, can be converted to a performance area /rehearsal /small recording studio for between £5,000 and £15,000 including all materials, labor, soundproofing, mixing equipment, midi PC and provisional training, depending on requirements.

Professional quality music and audio is just a click away, let us show you how.
