The company's founder, Julian Carlino, was born in England but raised in both Wing in Bedfordshire, England, and Misilmeri, near Palermo in Sicily. He has also lived, worked and studied in France and America, most notably attending the prestigious Art Institute of Philadelphia, sister university to the New York School of Performing Arts, which provided the background to the film and TV show “Fame”.

Julian has established turnkey businesses in both England and America, the most successful of which was Video 2000, a video rental, sales and repair shop. With over 8,000 titles, 3,500 square foot of floor space and a customer base in excess of 2,500, the whole business was designed and built from the ground up by Julian and ran successfully from 1989 to 1991, when unfortunate personal circumstances forced it’s untimely closure. 

Returning to England in 1992, Julian re-started a career in IT, first with Cable and Wireless for six years, then joining Gedas, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen group. This was later bought out by T-Systems. During nearly 10 years with Gedas, then T-Systems, Julian progressed through the ranks to Solutions Architect, covering project, asset and network management along the way. When the opportunity for voluntary redundancy came along, the idea to go it alone took hold and JC I.T. Consulting Limited was born.
